Hi! My name is Wren and I am on a journey to lose 150 lbs!

I have been overweight most of my life. As long as I can remember anyway. However after having 2 kids, and a Quarantine I got up to my highest weight of 316.2 lbs! In addition to the extra pounds, 2020 left me with newly acquired depression and anxiety. All in all, I felt awful all the time, and I was tired of it.

When I decided I was going to take my health seriously, I looked into different diet plans I could try. Well, try again I should say, since I have tried them all. Atkin’s, Keto, Weight Watchers, Medifast etc. However, I wasn’t excited about any of them. So, I looked into something new. I literally searched “2020 new fad diets” because I figured even if it's something I do for a short period of time and drop a bunch of weight, I will feel better. Even still I found nothing interesting. Nothing but teas and pills. One thing stuck out though. It was a celebrity. I don’t remember who exactly, but they had created a weight loss program of their own and were sharing it with others. For some reason this sparked a thought in my head, “What if I made a diet plan for myself! A plan that is specific to me? What would it be? How would it work?”.

I knew I would only find long term success if I could stop my bad habits and create new healthy ones. So, I researched how to build habits and how habits are formed in our brains, and is where myDIYdiet was born.
